Quick Midi Question...

MessageAuthor

Hey All: I am recording a drum part on a single midi track. I am using a padKontrol to input the midi notes and using BFD on an aux track for my sounds. My question is this: Is there a way to set the track up so that I can record over and over and keep adding parts. For example, first past I would do bass and snare. Hit stop. Hit record again and add the hi-hat on the same track with out recording over my bass and snare. I thought I knew how to do it once long ago but I haven't messed with midi for quite a while. I am sure it's a simple setting I'm not seeing so thanks in advance. I am using PT 7.3.1 Scott

RE: Quick Midi Question...

You need to turn on "MIDI Merge". It's the icon on the expanded transport window that looks like a sideways "Y", or the "flux capacitor".
