The engine management light has just come on, on my S40 T4, I stalled the engine and then tried to start it up again which took several attempts to restart and then the light came on and stayed on. I have driven the car home and all seemed to be normal. Have i just flooded the engine and got fuel in the exhaust???? or do i have a major problem??? I have tried to contact my regular sevicing garage (Japanese specialist), but suprise suprise they are on holiday. Is this a problem that needs to be sorted by a volvo dealer or can i use any good servicing/repair garage??? What do you think???

Just been out to check light and it now goes off once the engine has started.

If it comes on again I'd be inclined to take the top off the air filter and spray some MAF cleaner or carb cleaner into the inlet but read the instructions to make sure it's suitable first. When my management light came on it started running poor and after cleaning the MAF it's fine and hasn't come on since. Zac
