You should download Pro Tools 5.1.1 first. Both are in the Support/Downloads section at the top in Featured Downloads. Chompers, keep us posted. I didn't hear of reports of initial crashes from testing here, but maybe you need to delete preferences after switching DAE and Pro Tools. That wouldn't be that unusual.

Well, It is a "BETA" , so we must be patient. I havent had the -9060 since I unhooked my Firewire drive.

The BEta is a totally different app. So it really doesnt reset the prefs, as much as you get new ones.

The 9060 error means you have a bad fade file. Take a look at where PT stops and gives you an error. Chances are just past that, you'll see some audio with a funky looking fade. It looks like an arrow head. Re-draw the fade and you should be ok. Good luck
