Hey, It sounds as though you have answered the question yourself, If mobility is REALLY REALLY an issue, then buying the 002 will also be one. DV Tool kit is not a requirement for you and both units are almost similar, you also need to record on the move with the option to have many i/o's then go for the FW1814.
