I have looked extensively but can't find this option: Say I have 10 items placed inline on a single track. I'm looking for a way to rearrange the items on the timeline manually so they can be in a new arrangement and not overlap each other. Does something like this exist? Ideally I would pretty a shortcut to move an item left or right and have the other items shift appropriately so that they never overlap. I think Pro Tools called it Shuffle Mode.
nothing that I know of that's exactly the same as PT's shuffle mode. You can use Regions in kind of the same way, but that's for all tracks. You can try Xenakios/SWS: Shuffle order of selected items or item: reorder adjacent items randomly with two items selected, those will flip the order.

here I use my Regions from Items script to create the regions then exit the script.. no need anymore.. now move the regions normally to change the order of the songs. just an example... the items didn't have names. that's why it is untitled in the regions. but they also will have the names of the songs.
I think spk did some rearrange scripts a year or so ago. Might be worth going through the ReaPack list or the script-request thread in the scripting section. >

Yes, I'm using the arrow keys. Here are the scripts for testing: Move selected item to the left (shuffle).lua Code:

@spk77 Cool :) I'm sure a lot of users could take advantage of it! @MRMJP For infos: is what I achieve. So yes, in fact, it is very different than what you asked and what spk77 proposed, especially because it works on item selection and not on the whole track.
