Trilogy works fine here, if placed on a track, then 'fed' midi from a seperate midi track. Start a fresh instrument track & put trilogy on it, & it refuses to play any midi notes placed on that same track. If i replace Trilogy with Virus on the instrument track, all is fine. Anyone else get this? x
I use PT and also DP in DAE mode. With the spectrasonics stuff I get so confused. Some will work on the instrument track in DP but must be on an audio track in PT and on and on. And it's different in different versions of the software. I usually forget and instantiate on a instrument track until I hear nothing. Then I open up another t rack. You'd figure that after 5 years I'd have it figured out, but I still mess up at least half the time. Long answer for a short question, yes other people experience the same issues.

I'm away from my PT system so can't check this out with Trilogy, but with some virtual instrument plug-ins you need to assign an analog input to the instrument track in order for it to output the audio from the plug-in. Yes, it's very weird and non-intuitive. But it happens with VI plug-ins that haven't been updated since Instrument tracks were added to PT. It wouldn't surprise me if Trilogy falls into this category. Allan
Have you tried assiging audio inputs for that Instrument track? It doesn't make any sense but once I assign an audio input(any will do), then I can hear Trilogy just fine.
Thank you both ! Setting an input sorted it. Strange little bug eh ? I won't bother mailing spectrasonics about it, as I know they've given up any further development of Trilogy. Are there any other known RTAS instruments that show the same behaviour? Ru xx
