I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean, "It doesn't lock up..." What is supposed to lock up?

RE: Runtime error ...

Hi.. Sorry for my english, I think in italian and write in english... When I start up PTF, after plugins inizialize and after MIDI setup, it lockup (and freeze the system) with an error window. On title appear the inscription "C++" (the computer language I suppose) and inside the window the "Runtime Error". Before this, the system lockup on "MIDI setup", then i've deleted the folder "DAE PREF" and now this is the new problem! This occur every time i start up PTF

RE: Runtime error ...

There are a couple things that may work for you. Close PTF Re-delete the DAE Prefs... and: Go to C> Windows> Application Data> Digidesign and delete all the files in there. Sould be a PTP file, a recent files and a recent folders. Then empty recycle bin. All those will be recreated when you re-open PTF. If that's no good, then: Disable all startup items in your system: 1) Start Menu > Run > Type in: msconfig > OK > System Configuration Utility Menu appears > Startup Tab. 2) Disable startup items that do NOT have C:Windows in explanation. 3) Do NOT disable: Scan Registry, System Tray, and Load Power Profile (both). 4) Disable all other items that might appear. If that's no good, the only other thing I know of that's worked was a reformat and reinstall of your OS and a clean install of the application. You ARE running Win 98 or Win ME, right? Not XP?
