Hi there. I'm brand new to reaper, I've had it less than 48 hours, but I'm blown away by everything I've seen so far. I'm especially happy with the plug ins that I've explored. So many free options, and most of the ones I've played with SOUND SPECTACULAR in comparison to what I was using just days ago. I'm looking for a free parametric EQ plugin for some "surgical" tone work, one with a lot of control and a really narrow Q. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I use mainly ReaEQ these days, but still occasionally break out electri-q for some tonal variety. It has a free edition that is great :

ReaEQ is really good. You may be tempted (as I was at first) to dismiss the included plug in's as just OK or not really that good. Don't do that. They are some of the best out there. I have been burned in the past with included plug ins, but these are really good. (And check out the Stillwell/Schwa stuff. You will be happy.) Oh yeah, Welcome!!

ReaEQ is indeed the bomb-diggety... Great sounding EQ. I know you're talking parametric here...but don't over look ReaFir. The Cockos included FFT EQ + Dynamics processor. Gobs of POWER lurking in that plug... D
