Psst!........Digi 003

A guy at the AES Convention in Amsterdam wearing a Pro Tools T-shirt told me today that we could probably see a firewire Digi 001 or rackmount Digi 002 before the end of this year. Only a rumour ofcourse..... Pieter

I've heard that same rumor from a rather reilable source, only a few key words were mentioned: Firewire and rackmount. Finally, a happy medium, as I don't care to have motorized faders, I get by just fine with a mouse.

That is just the rumors that I want to hear. WOOOO Control 24 here I come. YAY. I am so excited. Ha

Yeah, at this point, it is JUST A RUMOR... But if it's true, and if I can use it in conjunction with my Digi 002 for additional I/O (ESPECIALLY if it has S/MUX ADAT lightpipe support!), then I'm ALL OVER IT and will get one just as soon as it is released.

What do you think the chances would be to exchange my almost new 001 for some amount of credit? I'm happy I got it, but it would be nice to know that I could get something of my $800 back when it's obsolete....

Well if it is true and knowing Digidesign it will not be able to work with any other Digi system. I hope I'm wrong about that though.

I hope this is true. And I hope it's like the MOTU 828. Rackmount, many in's and out's, firewire, PC, and usable with the Mackie Baby HUI. This would be a dream come true for me. No, wait. The real dream come true would be to not have to worry about the f'n chipset on my motherboard!!!!!!!!
