plug in help

does anyone know of a way to insert a plug in and have it permanently (maybe pre-fader?) affect the sound file. specifically, i need a way to be able to "export selected track as file" with the effects of the plug-in included? i know the audiosuite plugins can be used, but i need some way of doing it in real time. any help is much appreciated either here or at thanks. jon

Set the output of the track to Bus a-b and create a new audio track with the inout set to Bus a-b. Rec enable the new track and hit record. This will print the effect on the track.

thanks a bunch. i cannot believe i got an answer that fast. obviously, i'm very new to this way of recording. i'm currently only using pro tools for voice over work, but i may have to replace all those adats i've got....thanks again!!
