Is it possible to do this, like you can with audio. The io only has hardware routing boxes

Humm, I'm not sure I understand, you can send any track to any other track you desire regardless whether they're midi or not.

RE: sending midi from one track to another

I'm not sure I'm getting it. I have a track full of midi stuff (EZ Drummer midi drum patterns). I want to also have this midi track fed into a drum sound module on a second track. But when I try to send the first track to the second track, it sends the audio not the midi. I'll try again using the tip given. It should work. All I want to do is duplicate the midi stream to trigger two sound modules or two VST synths from one midi track. I assume I should not put both synths in the same FX bucket on the one midi track? right?

RE: sending midi from one track to another

soundchaser59 I think that if you do the send "pre-fx", then midi data will get sent to your 2nd track. I'm guessing that your send is "post-fx", that you have your synth in the FX bin and what it outputs is audio, not midi. So try the pre-fx send and see if that helps. And if I'm totally misunderstanding things, sorry. -) Larry
