does anyone know how or what will let me mount an ide hd that norton says has no driver on it. the drive has alot of audio on it aND HAS BEEN WORKING UP TIL NOW ON A DIGI 001/MAC OS 9 G3-BLUE&WHITE 300MHZ- NORTON UTILITIES CANT FIX THE PROBLEM- ANYTHING OUT THERE THAT CAN- VALUABLE DATA ON THIS DRIVE-- ALL SUGGESTIONS THANKS IN ADVANCE -EDT

I never had that specific problem but I do reccomend alsoft disk warrior. It has fixed things that norton wouldnt. The cd also comes with alsofts de frag utillity which seems superior to norton speed disk. My HD probs have been minimal since adopting alsofts software.

thanks for the help.. i reloaded the system software on the system drive(last ditch effort) and i was able to mount the disk thereafter, however, norton is telling me that some files are sharing disk space with others and must be fixed. i was able to backup to cd rom most of the files(whew) i will try the disk warrior sw- who's got it? thanks again, edt

Try Disk Warrior. If will fix some stuff that Norton cannot. -Zeek
