Platform: XP SP1 Browser: IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633 In the last couple of days, the number of unread posts is being listed incorrectly when refreshing the DUC. It's telling me there are multiple threads/posts I haven't read.. which I have. The DUC BBS software has always worked perfectly in this regard before now (unlike with my Mac under 9.2.2). Rail

Rail, are you using your back button, or clicking on the Main Index or using the Jump button at the bottom? Try the drop-down list and Jump to button and see if that makes any difference. Also, if you haven't already done so, try deleting your DUC cookies: When you quit your browser, and open it again, you should only see new replies in parentheses ( ) the next time you open your browser and login: "When you quit your browser, it ends your previous session. When you open your browser again, and go to the DUC at it begins a new session You have a few options. At the bottom of the main index page, you will see links to "view recent messages", with an option for the Past 24 hours. That link will show you all posts in all forums in the last 24 hours in chronological order. When you go to an individual forum after opening a new "DUC session", you will see a column next to each post for Replies. The first number are the replies that were there in your previous session or viewing, the number in parentheses () are the number of replies since your last session, or "unread" messages if one were cabable of reading every single message every time they logged on.:) Clicking on the topic name on the left will take you to the first "unread" message in that thread. You will also notice that when you go back to the individual forum index by clicking on it at the top or bottom of the page, there will not be any () for the message you just read, as it is updated immediately."

RE: Cookie issue with DUC recently (XP/IE)

I have a button in my toolbar with a link to which takes me to the main page.. I then click on a forum to enter.. and until recenty the parentheses values have been working correctly.. intermittently now they'll display a value even though I've read the thread. Selecting "Mark All Read" sets everything "read" and it appears to work okay... however this happened again 24 (or so hours later) so I made this post. Thanks. Rail

Oh.. something else that's just started happening.. Do a search, then use the back key/button and the page has expired. This has also only started happening in the last 2 days. Rail
