Corrupt Data Base Question

Does anyone know if and when the Digidesign Data Bases become corrupt that it can cause major crashes on OS X?

If it becomes corrupted, it may cause a crash in Pro Tools, but will not affect any other application or the OS. If you suspect they're corrupted, trash them per the info in the Setup and General Troubleshooting thread and they'll be rebuilt upon the next launch of Pro Tools.

Thanks DTS, did all of that and more but with no luck so it's (the Mac) is at the shop where I hope they can bring it back to life...
