This looks like a legendary solution to our age-old media landfill problem. Many thanks! :)

Don't know I don't use Reaper. If Reaper processes multiple rpp files and allows you to define unused files that you want to keep like *.mix or *.lyrics that aren't part of the project, optionally keep repeaks and show you where your source files are located (they may not be where you think they are or are being shared by another session. If so then I guess your not missing anything and I wasted my time building the Reaper extension ;-)
Sorry - didn't mean to come across as a tool. But I was serious - I don't use Reaper and I wouldn't know if Reaper did/does any of these things. I didn't even know it had any sort of 'clean up' function - most daws don't. There seemed to be a bit of chatter about the concept so I assumed Reaper had no such functionality. Mediasweeper was originally designed for Audition and I was also serious when I said that if Reaper did those or most of those things then I did waste my time adding Reaper functionality and that really would be a pain.

Reaper does have a feature to remove unused items from a project folder, but it will only detect those items being used by the current project, not all projects. If there are multiple projects accessing files, because there are different mix versions, or project cross-referencing etc, then precious files may be deleted while one project is loaded, and the situation won’t become clear until another you fire up another project that tries desperately to find that material. This is where MediaSweeper comes in. In short, the only tool here is your very helpful application. ;) After trying it out for a while, I have just one small problem with it: my .RPP-UNDO files are being treated like .RPP files, and the software displays a parsing error each time. I guess it’s matching .RPP but not seeing the -UNDO part, which leads to lots of error boxes, as the undo files are in a different format. Any chance of streamlining this so that the undo files are untouched? Thanks again! :)
Sure can give it a go. So I completely understand the problem any chance of sending a small sample project (no audio) with an example of one or two of these files so that i can make sure the changes work before posting - avoid even more embarrassment :-) Maybe email me via the website
