Hello friends, The Colonel passed the MOT first time, with only an advisory for the eahaust.. not bad going for 20 years old, its never failed one yet!!! Anyhow, I want to do the Old Boy up a bit, and the main problem is the discoloured black trim- bumpers etc. Does anyone know what to put on them to return them to black? Equally, the paintwork is slightly faded, not much though, and I have successfully brought it back to life with tesco colour restorer- does anyone know if there is anything else I can do to restore a real good gloss finish- its signal red by the way. regards, JM:thumbs_up:

I restored my bumpers on my 740 with spray on bumper black from Halfroyds Also did my door mirrors they came up like new did what it said on the box :-} Regards Mike B

Anyone tried boot polish... people tell me its very good!! Thanks for all the info, Great!!!!

You know that black shoe polish, the one that comes in a little bottle with a sponge applicator? it's great for black bumpers.
