hi all! I am using reaper V4.something and I want to upgrade to V5, but: I was at a friend's place today, he has V5. I did notice that there are a few changes in the pref panel. question: if I reimport my V4 config into V5, what is going to appen to all those parameters/settings that are no longer present in V4? will they be ignored? will they conflict / break something? thanks in advance!

RE: upgrading from v4.x

solger: thank you for the answer! so I can install a "second" instance of REAPER that is NOT going to conflict with my actual one? if yes, that is good. because I thought that maybe I should backup everything pertaining to my V4, then install the V5 so if something is not right I could come back to V4.

RE: upgrading from v4.x

wonderful, thanks a lot. I installed REAPER a couple of years ago and I did not follow up any update, because it works well and I did not "need" it, sorry if my questions are dumb-ish, I have to update my brain as well :-) anyway, today as 2 years ago, I really appreciate the helpfulness on this forum, thank you!
