BFD 2 VST NOT SHOWING IN REAPER?

Just wiped and reinstalled XP. Reloaded BFD2 and the latest Reaper, but Reaper isnt finding BFD 2 in the virtual instrument scan like it used to. I don't get it? I saved the Reaper templates and everything, no dice. Any ideas?

Double check that the BFD2 folder is in the Reaper scan paths? Were all your other VST(i)s found?

How do you mean? When it scans for Vsti's BFD2 is nowhere (it used to be, but i did a reinstall of everything). It does show BFD 1 though now , which it never used to. I had all the data saved on an external drive, and then downloaded the latest program version off the site. Didn't reload from the dvd's again, because the installer forces you to reload all the data AGAIN. Its stupid.They should have allowed you to skip it.

Odd, from what you've said, it sounds as if BFD1 has been installed not BFD2 (I have neither). Could you use Explorer to find BFD2 (and BFD1) on your disk, then post their paths here. Also have a look at the VST paths you have set up in Reaper. Look in the Reaper.ini file for this line: vstpath= Mine says: vstpath=C:\Program Files\VST Plugins HTH

Found it. I had to manually look for it. I wrongly assumed that Reaper would detact all vsti's on its own. Thanks. Next problem though, the latency is real bad in Reaper for BFD, but standalone is fine. FIXED.
