Hello, I have a Que Fire 12x10x32x cd burner running Toast and it's locking up when I try to burn audio cds. It will begin writing but freezes when it counts to zero and won't finish. Funny thing, it works a time or two then begins locking up. I have to force quit the Toast program then my G4 crashes. Any ideas on what might be going on? Thanks for any help you all can provide!

We have a Que! Fire too with Toast, Peak le, and Jam. Our Que Fire locks up too, with Jam running, but only when we try to burn C.D.'s at 8x or faster! We have a G4/400 with 256mb.So... we burn em' 6x or slower

My Que!Fire 12/10/32 just died on me so now I have the 16/10/40 (but now wonder if I should have just gone and bought the 24/10/40). Anyway, when the 12/10/32 first came out it was packed with the OEM Toast4.1.1 which turned out to not work. There is now the 4.1.2 version that works fine. I use Toast Titainium 5 and its' peachy. If it's not that then it might be a extension conflict. It's known that the Toast Firewire extension conflicts with iTunes Firewire extension so one or the other must be disabled as use dictates. On a longshot, there are user reports elsewhere (not neccessarally QPS users) indicating potential problems interfacing with a Firewire PCI card or using a Firewire hub. If there is a hub, try using the Que!Fire connected directly into the computer. And the PCI card, your guess would be as good as mine. Cheers!

Hey guys I might be wrong on this, but speeds higher than 6x are usually used for Data not audio. I already see a difference when burning my Demos at 2x or 4x, so I can only imagine the poor sound quality of a CD burned at 12x !!.... I know 2x or 4x takes time, but it's worth it.
