My dvd player displaying the incorrect movie length - bitrate tab confusion?

Every DVD player is different. If your works with you burning less and that is important to you then do that. Feel lucky that you get the time on the video close to correct at all. Most DVD players do not. Mark

Many standalones (one of mine, too) only can show the correct time for VCD. My player shows always ~40min for one full 80min SVCD. If I burn 60min movie on a full disc, half of the playtime (=30min) will show as 20 min on my player, if I burn 40min movie on a full disc, half of the playtime (=15min) will also show as 20 min on the player. Look if your manufactur offers a firmware updtae for your standalone, maybe they corrected this. Otherwise nothing to to against this.
