Hi everyone! I want to put my Mac inside a silent box! I already have one that hosts the Mackie d8b computer and I have spare room for the Mac. The problem is that normal cables are short to get to the 888/24 and the adat bridge/24. Does anybody know if there are extensions availables? or... can I make them? Any experience with long cables at all? Same problem with the Motu Digital timepiece which slaves the whole studio. thanks as always! D.

The cable from Digi are what they are. Longer cables are not approved. Extensions are not approved. If you do it and it doesn't work; don't call Digi. tech

There is only two solutions One is to place the interfaces close to the mac. And use long audio, VGA, USB cables extenders/repeaters. The other is to upgrade to HD and then you can have a 100' cable (50' at 192 KHz) and you will still need VGA, USB cables extenders/repeaters. JC
