DFH2 causes unexpected quits

As far as I was able to determine, DFH2 (not DFH or DFH Superior) simply doesn't work in ProTools on OS X. I tried millions of things, including VST to RTAS wrapper, and it would die after a few seconds. Truly shameful that they say it should work. In all fairness, i was offered a refund. I bought Sonic Reality drumkit refill for Reason and am very happy with it, though I understand teh Reason Drumkit Refill is awesome.

Well that just totally sucks. Who refunded you - the EastWest people or the place you bought it from? I don't want to waste much more time with this if what you're saying is true. I'm doubtful that Dude Center is going to refund me as technically I bought this thing in April, even though I didn't try to use it until recently. Aren't there other people here that use some form of the Kompakt sampler? I would have thought that the engine that runs any of thier products would be the same. Please, someone, give me hope...

I believe it was EastWest. What made is difficult to diagnose is that there are three companies involved in this thing, but I believe it is EastWest. They package a verison of the NI sampler for the DFH samples. I didn't end up getting the refund, and just sold it to a friend who uses XP (works fine for him).
