are all tracks muted If a folder is muted?

MessageAuthor

Hi folks, I'm recording on a less than ideal laptop and my project has grown pretty large. So, I'm trying to save on cpu cycles. Reaper is set to not process muted tracks, but I am wondering if tracks inside of a folder are effectively muted when their folder is muted, particularly if their are effects on the tracks inside the folder. thanks so much! Rusty

It seems that they are. Just try to put 20 reverbs on a child track and watch the cpu meter.

No they're not I don't think. They're still sending audio if it's routed outside the folder. If I remember correctly, can't check now.
