Despite the fact that I'll get piled on for kissing up...I'll go ahead with this anyway. These digi guys and gals do good work. Not perfect...but pretty darn great. I ordered my PT6 upgrade on the 13th, got it on the 18th. So much for the 4-6 week thing. I barely had time to hand up the phone. Everyone so easily and publicly bashes digi (on their own forums I might add), that I figured I'd step forward and give them a thank you! Love the new Pro Tools. Keep up the good work digi! Jason B

Hey, I'm kind of with you there...but at the same time, I don't want to rain on the parade, BUT... Once you look at the pretty interface and you want to actually use PT6.0, you quickly realize that NO Plugs work with it (except the Digi plugs), NO software synths work with it (except Indigo), and NO samplers by any manufacturer (including Digi) work with it whatsoever, you kind of look at it and think "the interface is sure purdy, but I've got actual work to do, so it's back to 5.3 and OS9". I'll revisit PT6.0 is 90 days and see what's happening then... J
Hey David, didn't know anything about Arturia and their Moog Modular V, looks cool, but as I understand from their site the formats will be VST, DX or stand alone, no TDM.
If you want to work with synths and samplers, you might as well use Logic. Speaking of which... as soon as Logic and protools TDM are compatible in osx, it will be much easier to record, edit, and produce music with the logic software and tdm hardware. I still prefer protools software for film/video post production (sfx, dialogue editing, etc.) There are going to be many, many interesting things happening with osx audio/video in the next couple of years. Thank you digi for releasing pt6 (finally!) Now just send me my free update!
I've been tracking on it all day without a hitch. I'll edit on it to. Granted I'll probably go back to mix but hey at least I'm getting used to it. drew
