Reaper crashes every time I try to open item in built in editor. Then I try to reload the project and reaper locks up my pc. cannot shut down, task manager useless. I have to hit the power switch. With proteus vtx installed as a fx on one of three tracks, it sometimes loads, other times locks up. anyone have any ideas why? Is there a midi fx setting I can tweak somewhere next time I get into my reaper project?

I'ts definitely proteus vx vst. I finally got into reaper. I removed it from the fx, opened the midi in editor, reloaded proteus and its working. Sheesh. I will start looking for a solution later because i've already bolted 12 times and wasted over an hour. Need to put my ideas into sound rigft now.

I"m not sure if its my computer or if it is proteus vx... Any time I try to "open item in built in editor" with the FX loaded, Reaper crashes. If I delete Proteus first, then open the item in the editor, then re-add proteus to the FX, no crash. Developers may want to check into that.
