HI, just wondering if anyone here is using an Akai mpc 2000 with PTLE & digi 001. And what would be the best way to sync them?

The easiest way to sync the 001 and an MPC2000 is via MTC. Hopefully you are using an external/seperate midi interface like 1 of the motu interface or even 1 of the Emagic midi interfaces). If so then you can send MTC from PTLE direct to your MPC and any other device that needs MTC as well. 1 other thing you can do is create your drum pattern or whatever sequence parts you want using your MPC and save then as a standard midi file which you can import into pro tools. I am using a Digi001 with my MPC, It took a few hours of me playing with OMS and Protools to make it work! But I am a new MAC and Protools User so go figure... Once it happens it works great, also synced a friends Roland MC-303 to it and extracted all his parts out individualy into Protools ------------------ [This message has been edited by kazper (edited February 24, 2000).]

I have tons of mateial written on my MPC. I want to record each part 1 at a time into PROTOOLSLE, How do I set up recording to begin when I press play on the MPC?
