I'm trying to record the songs from the Shrek DVD. When I use Soundforge to record it into a wav file when I'm playing the DVD I get this odd click every now and then. Almost like static. I then decided to rip the dvd then use tmpenc to open the .vob file and seperate the video and audio (mp2). I then used besweet to encode from mp2 to mp3. I then opened up the mp3 in Soundforge and cut it down to size. This worked fine with no problems. Clicking is now gone. But now I can't get the extra songs from the Special Features like the Karaokee song if I do it this way. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any and all answers.

you shouldn't transcode the mp2 stream to mp3, use BeSplit (with WBIAS) to cut it loselessly.

RE: odd click when recording sound

I ripped the stuff from Shrek with the following: 1)Smartripper, find the stream you want, and rip it with stream processing enabled. Select only the audio track and tell it to demux to a seperate file. 2)besweet - seperate it to the two seperate channels in one wave file(or 6 if you did 5.1, but six files) . See the help on the GUI for how to do this. 3)encode with any good mp3/OGG encoder. Good luck!
