i'm slightly confused about this. i think i understand, but i don't see the advantages. what would this be for in practice? i get it that you could record a piano with multiple mics, but why wouldn't you just send multiple mics to multiple tracks under a 'piano' folder? this way you can change the levels at will. i feel like i'm missing something.

+ Draggable plugin sidechains Drag track IO button to a plugin window to add destination track channels 3+4 and create a send A good idea would maybe make it always check how many outs the master has and auto route to the next pair above that. This way it should be ok on multichannel projects. Or give us an option in defaults :)

Hi, Will we be able to listen multichannel files in Media Explorer in V4 ? Currently, only the first two are audible. Is this a part of the Multichannel improvements plan ?

Yes. Thus this problem exists since Reaper can play and record multichannel files, since the first v3. It is why I suppose that it might be in the not so far plan...

Mmmmm Sequential inputs are a severe limitation. Make it not usable for me most of the time (can't choose the right mic pre's without hardware re-patching). Please go for a multichannel routing window ! Multichannel recording/editing is so good, you'll have to make it right...

RE: >> v4: Multichannel improvements

(Pardon my english) First of all, I'm so glad reaper improved its multichannel processing cabability. I've been waiting for this for a long time. I think I understood pretty much everything about these new features, but I'm wondering if it's possible to multichannel send to another track, for paralelle processing purposes. Seems to me that for the time being, only pairs of channels can be sent/recieved. That being so, lets say you have some surround 5.1 tracks, and you wanna send their signals to a 6ch.aux verb fx on another surround 5.1 track, in order to control the verb amount with automation. Problem is you can send only pairs of channels to the aux track, so to do the send properly, you have to make 3 sends (each pair of channels), and you end up with 3 different automation knobs to operate instade of one. Am I wrong ? If yes, could you please show me the right way to do this ? If I'm right, I hope this will be eventualy consider by the dev team.
