Hi all. I am a mac user( don't stone me yet). I have to use pro tools with windows at work. Do I chhose wav or aiff in the session or does it matter. Also what are the optimum settings for windows as related to ram and dae. Also how do you set those in xp. thanks for any info.

I think choosing wav or AIFF doesnt matter...its the same thing with a different coating... Optimum settings for RAM and DAE. I think you mean the amount of RAM you want to allocate? Simple...you can't. Windows has had dynamic memory managment (like OSX) for years...

A real Operating System like OS X and Windows don't require that the user set the memory allocation.. check out where I answered this previously on the Mac side. I'd recommend BWF files personally as they're more standard on the PC. Rail
