In my V70 there is a blnk plate in the centre of the roof inside about level with the front headrests. What is it? I thought it was just a blank plate for an option that wasn't fitted. After pulling it out I can see something behind it that is wired. What is this?

From memory it's the volumetric sensor for the alarm.

it is part of alarm system,make sure you have refitted it securely,if it falls alarm goes off.i had problems with mine keep falling down and sounding alarm,clips holding it had broke so resorted to double sided tape

Is this the thing that receives the signal from the remote?
