Another solution (which is still using automation) would be to add a reverb pluggin to the track and then you could push the automation button on the pluggin and add the wet control to the pluggin's automation. now the wet control dial should have something distinct from the other pluggin controls (if dverb it should have like a red or green light i cannot recall on the dial). Then set the automation on that track to write automation and then use while the track is playing you can totally automate the wetness (or any other control). You can also now directly draw the automation you want (much like volume or pan) on the edit window because you can select the pluggin and the control you want automated and it will work the same as drawing volume lines but dealing with that control. This is good if you dont want to creat another aux track and you plan on doing a lot of plugin setting edits (not just volume or wetness based settings). This is good to know for many useful situations, and most people dont realize this function exists but if it is just at one point in the song then i would recommond what the 2 guys before suggested.
