+1. It would be nice to have a utility with a small footprint that ran on a computer to act as a transport from a remote laptop or whatever. I could see the usefulness in that.

UltraVNC has a pretty small footprint and works well. I have a mediocre laptop and I VPN into work and "run" my PC there with UltraVNC. Works great. D

You might also check out this . Sometimes it's really convenient to control stuff with your feet, which frees up your hands to do the playing. Plus, it's wireless.

If you own an iPhone, this is handy for remote tracking if you're the artist and engineer.... It works with REAPER in MCU mode. There's still a couple of little things they need to fix like scribble strip naming (currently shows track number rather than track label) and timecode display (works but not in all REAPER time display modes). Aside from that, it works really well.
