Hi everyone, I just discovered Reaper. I have been using Ableton Live and really like the Impulse drum machine/sampler it has. It's great that you can drop any sample into it's slots. Could anyone give me some advice as to how to get something similar for Reaper? I like to program my beats in the Piano Roll editor of Live and I'd like to do the same thing in Reaper. So I guess I need to get some kind of VST that is similar in function to Impulse. I just don't know of anything affordable that will achieve the same result.
RE: Is there anything similar to Ableton's Impulse?
Thanks Sheppola! I downloaded Addictive Drums demo earlier today. You're right about the sound, it is really good. But I do a lot of synth drums too. What is the drum sample player you're talking about?

Excellent! :) For further useability, create eight track outs and then put all tracks inside a folder track (I named mine "ReaDrums Rack"). You can then save that as a track template as well, and you'll have all your individual pad processing possibilities taken care of.

Unfortunately you can't collaplse them in the Mixer view (yet). To make a folder just put an empty track above the others and change its symbol to a folder. Then go to the last track and change its symbol to an "end folder" - voila! Now it's just a matter of routing the samplers to each output track...once you wrap your head around it it's very logical.
