Hi Eric, can't be certain it'll solve the problem, -however, look in "Workspace" window(alt > semi-colon), and check if the drive has an "R" in the column after the disk name -if not , change to an "R" ( it may have R, P or T- Record, Playback or Transfer ). If the fault was with the drive, that should fix it , always assuming that the drive in question has been formatted with Disc Utility in OSX ! hope this does it .

I had the same problem and found out that I needed to format the drive using Apple Partition Map rather than the DOS format it defaults to under options in Disc Utilities. Sorry, I'm bad at explaining, but I found this solution in a couple other posts on the web and sure enough, that was what fixed it for me. It did require another several hours to re copy my old drive.

RE: 002 dae error 9131 HELPPPPP

i've tried formatting different partitions to different formats with no success, it tends to have to be one or the other. I would format the drive in disk utility to Mac Extended Journaled, i've never had a problem using multiple partitions in this format, fat 32 formatted drives will not work full stop with Pro Tools. Kind of odd given that every other mac app does, however the fat 32 format does not allow files to exceed 4GB so maybe thats why they scrubbed it. Cheers

I got the same problem too. Macbook Pro, Digi002 Pro Tools 7.3, External Seagate 400GB drive. What a pain. Everytime I use Pro Tools I spend more time with system issues than recording. The big downsize of Pro Tools is the incompatibility with most of the computer gear in the market. I wonder if these bugs can be fixed with an update like any other software company does when things don't work. Regards, Tony T.
