Hi, we've been trying to find out if there is any way to set the output volume for an audio interface in the ASIO driver or in Reaper. Unfortunately the interface has no volume control and the amplifier also has no volume control so the only way currently is to push the master slider far down in reaper. On the other hand is there any harm in always working with the master fader down at about -35dB - Does anyone know if having the master fader down would affect compression etc on the master channel and others? Cheers
Maybe someone can help me with a similar question: can this method be used to control the volume from the analog inputs 1-2 (mic amp. inputs) in a M-Audio Delta 1010LT audio interface?

Hmm, I don't see that volume control either - using 4.26 and yes Master panel is visible, and also dragged the delimiter line to expand but just no volume control like the one shown. Did this go away in a later version or is it 'hidden" or otherwise need to be revealed through some preference setting or some such? edit - I already have the user's guide and searched it but did not find any reference to this particular volume control...
I had this same problem with the M-audio 192 card. Finally found that hardware send control by dragging the master section area way up and finally it popped into view. Turned it down by about 16 db and now I'm a happy camper. Thanks everyone for the help. t
