I have put in new bushes at the bottom of the lever. This makes it a nice and tight gear change again, but once the car is warm the lever still moves nicely but the actual gear selection is hard to operate as if the gearbox is baulking. I suspect the clutch throw is not quite correct.

Neil, did you change the rear suspension bushes when you did the springs/shocks? At the very least the two Panhard rod bushes should be done as they get the most wear. The front suspension arm bushes (rear suspension) should also be done and if in doubt the ones at the location link would be well worth replacing as well. I have just done all the front suspension bushes (1996 MY) and am about to do the rear suspension. One of my Nivomats is about to go so I suppose I will have to get another pair. I have a pair of heavy duty rear springs waiting to go on. All the best, Peter.

Will check these out when next under her. Front tie bar bushes were done recently. Cheers.
