Hey guys I'm using Kontakt 5 and Abbey Road 70's drums (open kit - full). I've searched on here and googled it but can't seem to find a tutorial on how to map each of the drums, OH's and Room mixer channels to separate audio tracks in Reaper. I've been playing around with it and trying to follow other people's tutorials but I can't seem to get my head around it! If anyone's got this working it would be greatly appreciated if you could help me out. Cheers Steve

Thanks mate. I think I'm getting stuck because rather than adding the whole drum kit to a single stereo output, I'm trying to route each individual kit piece as shown in the mixer within abbey road drums. I will have another play with it though, thanks for the link :)

I don't have Abbey Road, but looking at the Abbey Road 70s manual... -- it has its own Mixer - for 6 drum mics, 2 overheads and 1 room -- I don't know if this is in addition to the main Kontakt output section. or instead of it, -- each AR Mixer channel can be routed to its own output using the drop-down list below the fader But, before that I would a) change the Reaper / Kontakt track to a multi-track, in the FX chain window, click [Options] and select "Build multichannel routing ..." b) you may need to remove Kontakt and reload it to get the extra channels recognised in Abbey Road c) if the Kontakt Output section is still used, create additional channels there and route each channel to the appropriate pair of "plugin outputs" (these are mapped automatically to the Reaper channels on the track Then you should be able to route the Abbey Road Mixer channels either to the Kontakt Output section or directly to the plugin outputs. Let us know how it goes.

Hey DarkStar Thanks a bunch! That helped a lot.. I've nearly got it.. I managed to get all the kit pieces going to individual channels in Kontakt, but my problem now is I can't get them to line up with the channels created in Reaper.. Will keep plugging away at it and see how I go. Cheers!

WOOOO!!! Got it working :) Lots of trial and error / opening and closing Kontakt but I finally got it sorted... I could not begin to even write a tutorial on it because I have no idea of the exact steps that I took to finally get it.. But a huge thanks to you ! Have a good one ;)
