Here's another hint.... Put all your VSTs in a root-level folder (instead of various application folders) like C:/VSTS and then point all of your applications at the common folder. You wont lose any when you uninstall a program. Programs like Cubase that have proprietary vsts that wont work on any other sequencer will have their own vst folders and you wont get them in other apps like Reaper, causing confusion. Finally, if you ever set up ReaMote pc's on your home network for distributed fx processing, you can simply copy the whole C:/VSTS folder to each machine and keep them synchronized with a utility like the free PathSync. Makes it REAL easy....
