Hi, I have a very slow oil leak somewhere at the rear of the engine but it gets so splattered around that I cannot tell where it is comming from. I have laid under it for hald an hour with it ticking over and cannot see a drip so I guess it is comming out only under high load. Has anyone had the same? Regards, David.
David I have spent plenty of time under my T5 recently and have a couple of ideas: Passenger side rear of engine: possibly turbo oil feed. Drivers side rear of engine: Oil cooler. Drivers side front/mid: Oil filter. middle rear of sump: drain plug. Hope this helps. Cheers David
Hi, I had similar problems: The first was an oil seal on the turbo leaking when under pressure ( This gave off a james bond like smoke screen when in boost for a long time ) the seal cost about 50 pence but the labour was an hours worth. The second was the rear crank seal which was leaking onto the fly wheel and spaying the oil all over the back of the engine, expensive job - gearbox off, new clutch recommended all for another seal. :( Haydn
