I'm new to the world of 24p. Is PT 5.3 capable of working in this TC format? If I import a quicktime movie at 24p, will it playback in sync at 24 frames? Thanks in advance for your help. --Bearease

RE: PT & 24p?

How 'bout in 6.4? What is needed to work at 24p, HD only? Or will MIX cut it? I'm guessing a sync unit is needed?

RE: PT & 24p?

Thanks - sorry I slipped up there, what I meant when I said "what about in 6.4" was how'bout with QT? Running on a second monitor. For where you're working to a QT @ 24p to take back to the edit suite for layback after the online/grade etc. If I remember rightly it's only the sync i/O that does the hardware sync, not the USD? Is the sync i/o needed in the QT scenario (if that's even possible). Cheers!
