Can you provide some info on your sound card or audio interface, and how your system is connected together? Also what routing you are using in Reaper?

RE: Troubleshoot

Rich, Welcome to Reaper World! I, too, am a former Kristal user. Great piece of code for cutting your teeth. As Bardo mentioned, you'll find this community very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Similar to the Kristal Users Forum. If you can provide some details about your setup it would help to speed up the troubleshooting process. Kyle PS - Bardo, I was wondering if you were the same name from Kristal!

RE: Troubleshoot

Hello to all and thanks for the response already. I'm pretty up to speed on the basics of using Reaper. Also got the Up and Running manual which answers 99% of my questions. It's just this damn buzz thats messing with me. I am using an Alesis Multimix 8USB (the old 1.1). It doesn't make the noise in Kristal. As soon as I open a project in Reaper, there it is. If I open a menu from preferences like audio settings, it goes away. Close the menu and there it is. I checked all my inputs and connections...all good. I did notice if I unplugged the power adapter for the computer it "kind of" went away. My battery is shot right now and doesn't hold a charge so I need the plug. I'm at a loss. Probably a simple click of the mouse will fix, just need to find it. Since you all have been so kind, feel free to stop by my site to hear some of my tunes. They were all recorded on a Boss BR8 and mixed with Kristal. Fell free to add. Peace, Rich
