Just received an OS9 booting Dual 1 ghz G4. We're upgrading from a wonderfully stable Blue & white G3 that worked very well. Anyway, until we upgrade to HD, we will be using the G4, but cannot get it to boot with the ATTO Ultrawide DC SCSI card. without the card in, it boots fine. With it in, it hangs up on the startup screen. Any help would be appreciated. BTW-we checked all firmware, etc......

Hello, What firmware do you have on the card? Will the system boot without drives attached to the card? If so, what did you use to format your SCSI drives with? Mike

if the card came with your g3 it won't work. It has apple firmware. You have to put the card in a pc. Flash the firmware with pc firmware and put it back into the g4. It may still not be compatable with protools though.
