This has happened to me occasionally, and I thought I knew how to solve it, but I apparently don't. Basically, I push record, and instead of PT taking off and recording, the lower left hand little window that would normally say, transport record ready, instead says, "waiting for sync" and then, after about 15/20 seconds, lets the system go. This particular session is tiny. Just a couple hundred megs, and my system normally functions just fine max'd out at 96K. I know there's got to be some software switch I'm inadvertently hitting, because this has happened before and I thought I knew how to fix it by hiting 'option spacebar" but that's not working this time. Please help!

Make sure that the clock (online) button in the Transport bar is turned off (not highlighted in blue).

Thanks for your reply! I checked the clock and it is not highlighted. When I hit 'apple + spacebar' the play button and record button flash 4 times and then go. Any thoughts?
