As I have posted a few times I'm in the market for a MIDI keyboard (61 key) and am interested in the M Audio Oxygen 61. I rang M-Audio to ask if it's Windows 8 compatible and the answer I got was, "I'm not sure - it might..." Has anyone got this and been able to use it with Windows 8?

That's a surprising reply, since the Oxygen is a "class-compliant" device. :) For that reason, it really might work. :D

Ah ok that's good. The lady I spoke to who was from the "technical support" department didn't seem to know much at all!!

On a second call to M-Audio I got told, "it doesn't work with Windows 8 yet I'm afraid..." I mentioned that I'd seen it was class compliant, which I have also seen on it's manual to which I was then told "Oh yes it is, I didn't know that, so it will work - just plug it in and Windows will recognise it." Great to know M-Audio staff know their products so well!!

Thanks. The second one is me! :-) I'm watching a Novation keyboard on ebay which seems decent but if I don't get that I think I'll go for the Oxygen 61.
