a couple extra dollars in my pocket. just seeing which mic you guys would get and why if you had a hundred dollars and were going to get a mic.. maybe for a unique sound in the studio or sound design etc.

guitar center often has deals on the Oktava MC012 mics. 2 for 100 bucks. i love them and use them for drum overheads, guitar and vocal micing too. i'd suggest that, but i also back up the SM57 remark....of course, the oktavas are condensers so thats an extra plus...sometimes.
i have a couple of sm57s . i don't have any octavia do they sound good? I don't mean good like groove tubes, telefunken etc. I mean unique tone mainly for a different sound on vocals or sound design.
