Playing itunes through the Digi 002 Monitors

I just installed Pro Tools with a Digi 002 Rack on my PC running Windows XP Pro. Obviously, I have connected my monitors to the Digi 002 rack. The problem: I can't get everything running on my computer to playback through the Digi 002 monitors. When I record, the playback works and when I play the Windows Media Player that came with the computer, it, too, plays back through the Digi 002. But, itunes will not playback through the Digi 002 and neither will a few other programs with sound features that I've downloaded, play through the Digi 002 (e.g., Guitar Guru and Guitar Vision -- they're programs that help you learn tunes quickly (don't tell anyone that I cheat once in awhile!!)). I've called the Dell technicians a couple of times to see if they can help me direct everything through the Digi 002, just like the Windows Media Player, but they've been unable to help. Although I don't use the sound card that came with the computer, I know that it works. Any thoughts?

Try Rail's helpful tool. Search for itunes in the answerbase and there should be a link to it there.

yep, the helper is good or you could just make the 002 your default sound card on your system like I did by going into control panel, sounds, and then selecting it from the drop down menu. I didn't even install a pci based sound card in my new system I built due to the fact that I run everything out through the MBox and my mixer. Goodluck

What also helps is to disable the default sound card. I had to to that to get Music Match to work. Right click on my computer, view properties. Select hardware tab, then device manager. Find the default soundcard in the sound and video game controllers section, right click and select disable.
