Hi all. I'm a newbie to ifoedit and need some help. I followed dooms guide on how to split a dvd9 to two dvd-r's. I have done a couple of movies before using this guide and was successful. The problem with Road Trip is that before the main menu runs there is an intro from dreamworks. Once the dvd is split onto two dvd-r's this intro is not on disc one. So when you load the disc into a stand alone player it either keeps looking for the intro or locks up. How do I delete or bypass this intro? I believe it is title 6 since that is what my dvd player says it is looking for. Thanks, Bill

RE: Need help bypassing Dreamworks intro on Road Trip
baddbill, Try my "Getting Rid of Menu Intros" Guide in my . A good habit to learn is not to burn any DVDs if it doesn't play the way you want it using IFOedit's DVDplay button. Now when I do splits, I bypass all my unwanted stuff first so that I won't have to do it twice later on two disks. In your case, a simple "jump to your root menu" pre command in your First Play PGC, would have easily bypassed your Dreamworks logo.
RE: Need help bypassing Dreamworks intro on Road Trip
Hi 2cool, thanks for your response. I can't seam to get the DVDplay button to work in IFOedit. It says it is playing but the screne is black. If I try to push any of the buttons IFOedit locks up. I think I'll try installing .95 and see if that helps. I currently have .94. I looked at your "getting rid of menu intros guide" but I don't think that is the problem I'm having. The logo that I'm talking about appears before the main menu appears, not after the main menu and before the movie. How can I do a "jump to root menu command". Thanks, Bill
RE: Need help bypassing Dreamworks intro on Road Trip
If your movie resides in your titleset 1 (VTS_01) then using IFOedit, go to your movie's VIDEO_TS.IFO/First Play PGC/PGC Command Table and edit as follows on the first jump command in your pre commands. To do that, right click and select (JumpSS_VTSM) Jump to Titleset Menu in pop-up menu. NEW > #.Pre Command (JumpSS VTSM) Jump to TitleSet(vts): 1, Title(ttn): 1, root-menu [30 06 00 01 01 83 00 00 ] Translation: This command will bypass all menu intros and your main menu will display upon DVD insert. ____________________________________ If your movie menu resides in another titleset, substitute your real TitleSet number in above command, highlighted in blue

Thanks for your reply 2COOL. I've been very busy and I haven't been able to try your recommended solution. When I get a chance I will try it. Thanks for your help, Bill P.S. Please keep doing the cheat sheets, they're great.

RE: Need help bypassing Dreamworks intro on Road Trip
2COOL, I finally got around to trying your fix today. It works great! Thanks for the help. Bill P.S. In the future when I need to do this should I edit the first pre command or edit the first pre command that has a jump command in it?
RE: Need help bypassing Dreamworks intro on Road Trip
@2COOL here is the situation menu intro resides in video_ts.vob main menu in vts_1_0.vob main movie in vts_1_1.vob -> 6.vob warnings and logos in vts_02_1.vob when starting up first play pgc is directed to vts_02_1.vob i don't want this so following earlier post edited first play pgc with JumpSS_VTSM) Jump to Titleset Menu etc. this works a treat i am taken straight to the menu. heres my prob is there a way to be taken to the video_ts.vob as first play instead as this should then follow on to main menu. hope you can help
