++1 Well done. Glad to see a fine demonstration of our minutia at: Good design is clever simplicity. By the way, the four sample minimum applies to crossfades as well.

This is really beautiful, man. Thanks for taking the time to make the videos....they say so much more than one could possibly post in words. [dt]

RE: CTRL+LeftClick drag Copying minimum size

Yeah wow. Sure makes editing in Reaper seem like a chore. I am no Reaper expert by any means, but one method that ALMOST works for me when I want to replace a problem click with something else nearby is to make a marque selection and hit Shift-S to split. Then I just Alt-drag to slide the waveform so that it displays the nearby section I want. This is actually could be really fast except that I can't get Reaper to stop making big fade-outs/fade-ins on the both sides of each boundary of the splits. I can't help but assume I just don't have some preference set correctly. I think (hope) that some other Reaper experts will watch this video and chime-in with some other ways to accomplish this type of editing without having to fight Reaper every step of the way. . . Please.

Bink, what you're looking for is the Project/Defaults section of the prefs. In the Items section on that page at the top, you'll find a Fade Length box. This is the default fade/crossfade length after a split or trim.
