Aspect ratio error in Scenarist

Hello, I'm trying to author "James Bond - the world is not enough" with Scenarist. Used DIF4Y to extract all the assets and imported these in Scenerist. However, while the movie is 16:9 scenarist says this PGC is a 4:3... The VTS has 7 PGCs and scenarist sees some of them as 4:3 and the others as 16:9. When I look at the M2Vs in DVD2AVI it says the same so how can I extract the movie in 16:9 (original) ? Can somebody help me out here ?

Since dvd2avi tells you the same about the aspect ratio it seems that cce has put a wrong AR-flag into the streams... Check the ecl-file in notepad which was generated by DIF4Y... You can patch the m2v-files with dvdpatcher for example, look with dvd2avi which AR the original files had, and then patch the appropriate m2v-files to the same AR... This should work...

Did get that wrong... So you just demuxed with DIF4U, right? Weird problem, but it should be possible to solve it with patching the streams anyway... Why don't give it a try?

sounds to me that the movie may be 4:3 matted letterbox and not a 16:9 anamorphic. if it's matted then the 4:3 aspect ratio is correct the back bars on the top and bottom of the screen has been added during the editing process. not all widescreen dvds are 16:9 anamorphic - the cheaper ones are 4:3 matted. hope this helps

How would you go about importing a video file that's 4:3 matted letterbox in Scenarist? I'm not even sure what I have is in this format, but I'm having an aspect error problem when trying to backup Raging Bull NTSC. It has two versions of the movie, a Fullscreen and widescreen version, each on a separate VTS. I used Doitfast4u then used Reauthorist to take out the things I didn't need, such as the fullscreen version. Luckily I didn't have to re-encode the video file as it could fit on the single dvd-r disc. But after loading the reauthorist generated script in Scenarist, I get an import error: Code:
