After powering up my system and Pro Tools, I get the following message/crash (usually within the first 30 minutes): Fatal exception OE occurred at 0028:C00061E9 in VKD VMM(01)+000051E9. The current application will be terminated. After I terminate and re-start, it's fine until I power down/up again. I tried a serach on this topic, but didn't find anything. Any ideas why this happens ??

RE: Fatal Exception

That's a memory address - did you recently add RAM? One of your chips might be the wrong speed (only PC100 when it should be PC133). Also, make sure you have Virtual memory set (not "let Windows manage my virtual memory) at 1.5 times the amount of physical RAM - in your case 384mb. Hope that helps, John

Thanks John. I haven't added RAM (although I've been thinking it wouldn't hurt). I'll try the different setting you suggested.

RE: Fatal Exception

You need to talk about the exact actions that you are taking when this is happening. A lot of things can cause this, from hardware setup, to some program bugs. Try to be as specific as possible. Are you switching applications? Launching other audio apps? i've found the Active in background option to be sketchy on misconfigured systems. Keny
